Experience
As an active member in the Boulder Art Association for several years, I've developed outreach programs, and taught watercolor painting at New Vista High School, in Boulder, CO. As a volunteer tutor in Seattle, I loved working with elementary aged children (math, reading, writing and art spelling). I've also been a member of the Pastel Society and the Watercolor Society. In addition to university classes, and private classes, I've taken multiple classes as a member at the Denver Art Students League and the Botanical Gardens in Denver. Working in adult education, I did course development and taught at Renton Vocational Technical Institute, as well as in a corporate environment for 7 years, training staff and clients. I like teaching, and I like making learning interesting, and when possible...fun. My degree is a liberal arts degree that spans many classes outside of art: sciences (geology, oceanography), dance, literature, philosophy, history and so forth.

I enjoy sailing on my boat, art, gardening, hiking, animals (had 2 sweet black labs and 2 crazy cats), skiing, am an avid reader, fiction writing, cooking, hanging out with friends and family, and studied ballet for several years so I'm an avid fan of dance in general. In art, I enjoy watercolor, oil, pen and ink, pastel, print making, and have recently been working with metal-smithing.
